2021 Benda BD300 Cruiser Launched – Honda Rebel, Royal Enfield Rival

Honda Benda BD300

Benda is one the few Chinese automakers that is known for its original designs. The company also introduced a new 300cc cruiser variant to its entry-level LFC700. Greystone BD300-16 has been officially revealed by the company. This is a premium version of the Jinjira BD300-15. To be clear, Greystone will not be replacing Jinjira. Design Updates

Split-type exhaust system with pipes and mufflers both sides of the bike is the first major update to the new BD300 model. The Jinjira cruiser gets a twin exhaust system, but it is stacked on one end. The fuel tank, fenders, and alloy wheels were all redesigned. Numerous subtle changes have been made to improve ergonomics. Greystone now has a longer, more conventional cruiser-like handlebar instead of the flat dragster-style handlebar that Jinjira had.
Ergonomics Updates

The handlebar is raised to give the rider a higher stance, better reach and more comfort for longer rides. The footpegs are now wider. The new BD300-16 has a split-style seat that is more comfortable for the rider as well as the pillion. The 130-section rubber on the front of the new alloy wheels is thicker than that offered by Jinjira.

The new variant’s tyres are Michelin Scorcher units, as opposed to the Timsun tyres. Greystone has retained features such as an all-LED light setup, a TFT console and disc brakes equipped with dual-channel ABS.

Specifications for the Engine

The engine configuration is identical, with the same 298cc Vtwin liquid-cooled motor driving the cruiser. The unit produces 30 bhp at 8,500rpm, and peak torque of 25.3Nm at 7,500rpm through a belt drive. This engine comes with the same 6-speed gearbox but has a slipper clutch. The Jinjira-BD300-15 is priced at CNY 19,880, which is approximately INR 2.29 lakh. The new variant will be available at a premium of approximately INR 10,000. The BD300 in Europe will compete with Honda Rebel 300 and the Royal Enfield range of motorcycles available in Europe – including Classic 350, Classic 350 and Classic 500. It will also be able to compete with the Qianjiang SRV 300. It is unlikely that it will make its way to India.
